Dedicated to the students of Norwalk...
We believe that all children should have the opportunity to build their own successful futures.

About

Horizons at CT State Norwalk, formerly Norwalk Community College, began with one classroom of kindergarten children in 2013, and the following year we added both a 1st grade and a Pre-K class. In Summer 2023 we celebrated 10 years of dedication to Norwalk and will serve 120 children in Pre-K through 8th grade and 22 students in our high school program.

We believe all children should have the opportunity to realize their potential and build their own successful futures. Horizons helps make that happen. Our students discover the joy of learning, skills for success, and inspiration to achieve their dreams.

Once accepted to Horizons, students return year after year. It is a long-term and deep engagement with students who come to us with a broad range of academic ability. Given this opportunity, Horizons students thrive. In the project-based Horizons approach, children “learn by doing.” They become inspired as they explore reading, math, science, music, theater, art, swimming, and other activities that cultivate creativity, confidence, and leadership.
